After August Travel: Restart Your Steel Door Project in September

August travel is over. Contractors are back on site, and the door you “almost ordered” in July is still an open hole or a swollen timber leaf. Early September is the cheapest week to restart — before October traffic and short rains crowd the calendar.

Restart in one visit

• Re-measure the opening. Tiling and plaster often moved 5–15 mm while you were away.
• Reconfirm swing, handle side, and whether you still want a hatch or a double.
• Bring the old WhatsApp quote. We will tell you what still holds and what stock has changed.
• Book installation against a real plaster/paint date, not “sometime this month”.

If you only have photos, send three: closed opening, hinge side, and a tape on the width. That is enough to decide whether you need Gateway Mall or a site visit.

The goal this week is a written next step: showroom, site measure, or a deposit on a model you have already stood in front of.
